Ingredients
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds – ½ teaspoon
- Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
- Green chilies – 5 to 6 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder – ⅛ teaspoon
- Onions – Half the quantity of the beans (finely chopped)
- French beans – 500 grams (cut small)
- Salt – ½ teaspoon (adjust as needed)
- Grated fresh coconut or desiccated coconut – 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice – as per taste
Method
- Heat oil in a wok over low heat.
- Add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add cumin seeds and green chilies. Toss well.A
- Add turmeric powder and mix.
- Add chopped onions and fry until they turn translucent.
- Add salt and the chopped beans. Stir-fry.
- Cover and cook for a couple of minutes on medium-low heat.
- Open the lid and add desiccated coconut. Mix well.
- Cover again and simmer until the beans are fully cooked.
